Beachcomber Shacks at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon

Beachcomber Shacks provide the perfect place to relax with your group during a day’s visit to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. These private cabanas come with various amenities that will enhance your trip to the water park.

This article will look at the details of renting a Beachcomber Shack. We’ll discuss the price, location, and amenities.

Additionally, I’ll add a few considerations for renting a cabana at Typhoon Lagoon. While these private seating areas are pricey, there are certain situations where you might find that they are well worth it.

I’ll be honest, the first time I rented a cabana at Disney World, I thought upfront that it would be a one-and-done experience. But, to my surprise, I loved the luxury of this paid-for extra and could see how it would easily work for a variety of different groups.

Let’s take a closer look.

Beachcomber Shacks at Typhoon Lagoon

You’ll have three different options for renting a Beachcomber Shack at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. Those options are:

  1. Standard Beachcomber Shack (6 guests)
  2. Premium Beachcomber Shack (8 guests)
  3. Premium Plus Beachcomber Shack (6 guests, TV, Fan, Fridge)

The Beachcomber Shacks range in price from $225.00 to $340.00. They can be reserved up to 60 days in advance of your vacation. You must call Disney to reserve a cabana.

The number is (407) 939-7529.

There are a few essential details you’ll want to know when making your reservation. For instance, you will be charged for the rental on the day you reserve it.

However, if you need to cancel, you can do so up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund. Just make sure to cancel if you have something come up. If not, you’ll forfeit the rental.

In the event of inclement weather, Disney might cancel your rental. In this instance, you will receive a refund.

What comes with a Beachcomber Shack rental?

You’ll receive several amenities with your cabana at Typhoon Lagoon. Those amenities include:

  • Unlimited Towels
  • Cushioned Seating
  • A Locker
  • Refillable Mugs
  • Cold, Bottled Water

Additionally, you’ll have access to a cabana attendant who will assist you throughout the day. The attendant will take any food or beverage orders and see that they are delivered directly to your cabana.

Of course, extra charges apply for dining.

Location of Beachcomber Shacks at Typhoon Lagoon

Beachcomber Shacks are located toward the right side of the park, past the entrance. Several shacks face the walkway toward Castaway Creek past the Miss Adventure Falls attraction.

Additionally, a few shacks are located on the side closer to the Surf Pool.

The location depends on which type of cabana you rent. You can request a specific cabana number when you call to make your reservation.

Next time I’m over that way, I’ll try to find a better solution for correlating the number of each cabana to its location.

Is a Beachcomber Shack a Good Fit for Your Group?

If it’s your first trip to Typhoon Lagoon, and you plan to spend a good deal of time experiencing the attractions, a cabana rental might not be a good option.

Additionally, if you don’t anticipate spending the entire day at the park, you might consider how much of that time you’ll spend at your rental.

With that being said, anyone who knows the lay of the land at Typhoon Lagoon or has a party with various age groups can benefit from renting a Beachcomber Shack.

For instance, say you were on a family vacation, and the grandparents are with you. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a shaded cabana with a television and an attendant?

Another example is those with smaller children who will need a nap or a break at some point. Push two of those cushioned chairs together and let your child take a nap. It sounds like a great time to catch up on that summer vacation read you stuck in your beach bag.

Or maybe you have someone in your group that doesn’t need to spend too much time in the sun? Instead of leaving them at the hotel for the day, rent a Beachcomber Shack.

Thankfully, all of the cabana rentals at Typhoon Lagoon are covered. So in the event of rain or a storm, you can stay put in your cabana while everyone else scrambles for cover.
