Everything Towels at Typhoon Lagoon

If you’re planning a trip to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, you’ll likely wonder at some point whether or not you’ll need towels. Thankfully, towel rentals are available at the water park.

Complimentary towels are provided to Walt Disney World Resort guests at Typhoon Lagoon.

However, if you are visiting from off-site, there is a $2.00 charge for towel rentals. Therefore, when we visit as off-site guests, we tend to bring a towel.

Towel rentals at Typhoon Lagoon are available inside Singapore Sal’s, the gift shop next to the locker area. It will be the first building you see when you walk into the water park.

There is a window on the side of the building where you can pick up a towel. Or you can walk inside and rent one at the register.

Additionally, you can pick up a towel or rent one at High n’ Dry Gifts, located on the opposite side of the lockers.

As far as towels go at Typhoon Lagoon, I wouldn’t recommend getting one until before lunch. Most will want to dry off a bit before enjoying a meal.

If you’re touring the park, you’ll want to put your belongings in a locker upon arrival.

After that, you’ll only need your water park shoes. There’s no need to have a towel or anything else while experiencing the different attractions.

One of the things so great about the park is no one needs their phones out!

So we usually leave our phones in the locker and check them while we’re having lunch. Then, after lunch, they go back up until we leave.

Anyway, you probably won’t want to take your towel to the Surf Pool either unless you plan to sit toward the very back of the area. If you sit even remotely near the water, your towel and other items will get soaked.

Lastly, it has been my experience that often, toward the end of the day, cast members will let anyone pick up a towel without having to rent one. While this is not guaranteed, you can always wait until later in the day to see.

I tend to grab a towel before lunch and then put it in a towel bin. Then, I’ll get a fresh towel before it’s time to leave. So you don’t have to carry around the same towel all day long.

Towels are the standard white ones like they have at the Disney Resort pools.
